Your story, and my story, they were meant to cross paths with God’s story.

Moses has gone upon the mountain to be with God. There he receives instruction about how God’s people are to carry themselves.

The people have been living under the oppressive thumb of Pharaoh. God allows 10 plagues to befall Egypt and each time Pharaoh’s heart grows harder.

It had been almost 40 years since Joseph was sold into slavery by his own brothers, his own flesh and blood. His father Jacob was now dead, a father who loved him dearly in his early years. But for a significant portion of those 40 years, Joseph didn’t get to enjoy that love because he had been sold into slavery and forced into a new life in Egypt.

It had been ten years since God first promised Abram that he would become a nation that would exist to bless other nations and a lot can happen in ten years.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. And God filled the world with all sorts of life.

Those who wanted to listen could understand. Those who didn’t want to understand didn’t. Jesus was planting seeds among the people that day. It would be snatched from some. Others weren’t ready to hear it. But for the ones that were, a Jesus kingdom of forgiveness and love began growing in thier life.
